Spend your holiday visiting some of the most known sightseeing spots in three Baltic states – Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tallinn

Upon arriving in Tallinn you can opt for transport to Radisson Blu Olympia**** or similarly rated hotel. After checking in the meet & greet is scheduled.

Day 2: Tallinn – Cesis

Following breakfast, we will travel to Vilhula and Palmese in the Lahemaa National Park, and visit the Manor House. Continuing on our way, we will visit the place where Estonia became an independent state, the university town of Tartu, where we will visit the historic Old Town and the 17th-century University. Leaving Tartu, we will cross in Latvia and visit Cesis, a former member of the Hanseatic League. City of medieval castles, narrow streets, and manicured gardens. Overnight stay at Hotel Cesis*** or similarly rated hotel.

Day 3: Cesis – Vilnius

Traveling through the Gauja National Park, we will visit one of the popular resort towns, Sigulda, where the ancient Episcopal Castle is located. In this town, we will also visit the medieval remains of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword. Continuing to Vilnius we will travel through environs of Riga. On our way, we will visit the city of Siauliai where one of the most revered places of Catholicism in Lithuania is located, the Hill of Crosses. Afterward, we will be heading to the southern region of Lithuania and the city of Vilnius. Overnight stay at Hotel Radisson Blu Lietuva**** or similarly rated hotel.

Day 4: Vilnius – Nida

The city of Vilnius is famous for its historic architecture, more than 1.200 buildings from the medieval period, and nearly 50 churches. In the morning, we will embark on the excursion of the city, and walk the streets of the historic Old Town where many of the landmarks are located. Gediminas Tower, the Gates of Dawn, Old University, Vilnius Cathedral, St. Ann’s, and Peter and Paul churches, are some we will visit. Continuing on our way, we will arrive at the town of Nida, located on Curonian Spit, where optionally you can enjoy traditional fisherman meals for dinner at “Tik Pas Jona”. Overnight stay at Hotel Nerija**** or similarly rated hotel.

Day 5: Nida – Liepaja

After breakfast, you can opt for an excursion around the Curonian Spit. This 100 kilometers long strip of land that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea is dotted with sand dunes and fishing hamlets nestled in the pine forests. During this tour, we will visit the magnificent Parnidis and Naglis dunes. In the village of Juodkrante, we will visit the Hill of Witches, and afterward also the summerhouse of Thomas Mann. Early in the afternoon, we will get on our way to Liepaja, where you can enjoy a relaxed beach dinner at the cafe Red Sun Buffet. Overnight stay at Hotel Promenade***** or similarly rated hotel.

Day 6: Liepaja – Riga

The city of Liepaja is named after the linden trees that grow in abundance around it, and our day in it will start with the tour of historic Old Town where the Trinity Church is located. We will also visit the Jumala Park and historic Naval Port area, best known for its Orthodox Cathedral. Continuing on our travel through the southern parts of Latvia, we will take the guided tour of the historic Rundale Palace, which in times gone by served the Duke of Courland as the summer residence. In the afternoon, we will arrive in the city of Riga, where the Dome Cathedral in the evening offers an optional opportunity for attending the organ concert. Overnight stay at Hotel Radisson Blu Latvija**** or similarly rated hotel.

Day 7: Riga

Between the capitals of three Baltic countries, Riga is the largest one. Founded by Bishop Albert from Germany in 1201, it is characterized by the architecture of various historic periods. We will take an excursion around the historic Old Town area, which is home to the many landmarks of the city. The Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, Swedish Gates, Riga Castle, Three Brothers, Freedom Monument, and Large and Small Guild Houses; are some of the sights we will see. Optionally, in the afternoon we will visit the city if Jurmala, a popular and lively resort on the sea coast, known for its historic wooden buildings and beaches. Optimally, in the evening you can enjoy traditional Latvian cuisine at the upscale Restaurant Three.

Day 8: Riga – Tallinn

Our tour will continue by the means of scenic coastal roads that will take us to the city of Parnu, a popular summer destination in Estonia. After a short excursion of the city, we will continue on our way through magnificent forests of the Estonian north, and arrive in Tallinn in early afternoon hours. Overnight stay at Hotel Radisson Blu Olympia**** or similarly rated hotel.

Day 9: Tallinn

The city of Tallinn is a beautiful mixture of medieval and modern times, its historic Old Town area becomes a beehive of activity with numerous shops, galleries, markets, cafes, and restaurants; in the summer. On our excursion around the city, we will tour the historic city walls, and visit the Old Town area. The Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, historic Old Town Hall, Toompea Castle, and the Great Guild Hall; are some of the landmarks that can be found here. Optionally, in the afternoon we can tour the Kadriorg Park where the famous KUMU art museum is located, and enjoy its collection of classic and contemporary Estonian art. In the evening, you can optionally enjoy the dinner in a medieval atmosphere of the Restaurant Maikrahv.

Day 10: Tallinn Departure

On the last day you can opt for transport to the airport.
